Primary Lymphoma of the Lieum Manifested as Ileocecal Intussusception - A case report -

Abstract
|
|
|
A case of primary lymphoma of the ileum manifested as ileocecal intussusception is presented. A 30-year old female pateint suffering from vomiting and abdominal pain for 2 months was proved to have an intussusception of ileocecal type by barium
enema
and CT scanning. At operation, the intussusception was found to be caused by the lymphoma of the terminal ileum. Surgicla resection of the intussusceptum with draining mesenteric lymph node was performed. At the 4th postoeprative day, she began
to
vomit. Contrast meal study revealed duodenal obstruction at the third protion. Operation was done again, and duodenal compression by the mesenteric root similar as SMA syndrome was found. Duodenal transposition and postoeprative parenteral
hyperalimentation were proved to be an effective treatment. Combined, alternating chemotherapy with CMVP-16 and CHOP regimen was done and complete remission was confirmed. She is in good health without without evidence of disease, 2 years and 4
months
after the operation.
